Some Facts about Mental Health Issues:

40% of Canadians say their mental health has deteriorated since the onset of the Covid-19 Pandemic           

1 in 5 Canadians experience mental illness or a mental health issue in any given year

Approximately 8% of adults will experience major depression at some time in their lives

Suicide accounts for 24% of all deaths among 15-24 year olds, and 16% among 25-44 year olds.

Anxiety disorders affect 5% of the household population

By age 40, about 50% of the population will have or have had a mental illness.

Approximately 10-20% of Canadian Youth are affected by a mental illness or disorder
